Diana Welch (b. 1977 Mt. Kisco, NY) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Austin, TX, whose body of work spans sculpture, music, and writing. A self-taught ceramicist, she has exhibited work in the US and Europe both as a solo artist and as one half of the collaboration Mother of God. As a musician, she has released several recordings, both solo and as a member of the band Stormshelter. A reporter, editor and author, her writing has been reviewed in Vanity Fair, O Magazine, People, Kirkus, and elsewhere.

Worked with the creative agency LAND to shape the brand narrative of this eco-luxury skincare startup, resulting in a successful initial capital raise. Brought on full-time in 2019 to lead overall brand vision, including: define and develop brand strategy and DNA; conceive and co-develop multiple product lines; create and implement product launch strategies; curate and manage creative partnerships; develop all internal and external communications materials; develop all online visual and written creative content; develop e-mail marketing strategy; concept and manage year round marketing calendar; and editorial oversight of the Haoma Journal. EDITORIAL DIRECTOR ASTROLOGY.COM (2017-2019)
Worked closely with designers and product specialists to rethink the world’s largest astrology website from the ground up. Nominated in 2018 for Best Overall Design at the Digiday Publishing Awards (alongside The Washington Post, NY Mag, NowThis News). Spearheaded the creation and implementation of a new visual identity and editorial strategy, developed and oversaw a team of 20 writers and artists, created engaging daily content, and conceptualized and developed several digital hubs. WRITER + RESEARCHER EPIC BOUND BOOKS (2014 - 2017)
Researched, wrote, and edited manuscripts for this private book publisher of luxury family histories. Each project included: reviewing initial client interview audio along with transcripts; conducting additional interviews and follow ups related to the story; reviewing, synthesizing and incorporating provided research; conducting additional online research when necessary; providing a fully fleshed-out outline; writing and proofreading an original manuscript of approx. 4,000 words.
